When glory truth is gone
and dull gray lies remain,
if those who left returned,
what would there be to gain?

Gutted forests, asphalt roads,
the turbine's endless whine.
No dancing leaves, no flower fields,
no frosted apple wine.

If Faerie sailed ashore
to take back what was lost,
what's left for them to take?
We sold the world at cost.

This poem leaves me with a sad feeling, thinking of how we 'sold the world'. I sorrow for the faeries whose world we've taken and changed, forcing them out. Thank you for the read.

May faeries bless you, m'dear!

Nice poem.
I enjoyed the read.
Thanks for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
