When opening pages of blue each
morning when I arise
I know I'll see at least two
of you humorous guys

I never know quite what to expect
sometimes there's three or more
Seems I just can't help myself from seeing
what words you all do explore

Our Mr. Toe, our Mr. Sailor Man,
and our Mr. Ball-Deer
Always with a cute come-back,
so don't you fear

Even though I know not what to expect
from these three
I know it's gonna be fun
just to see

If I didn't know better, I'd
think they're mad
But it's all done in fun,
of this I'm glad

Amongst Mr. Seymour's fine poetry
on pages of blue
You'll find Toe, Long John, and Balladeer
cheerfully greeting you

BUT  WHO'S  COMPLAINING ????
Not me.....

Thanks, Julie. This was my little way of saying thank you to them for making me laugh. They're all so cute, aren't they?

Well...."one" of us is cute anyhow....but Balladeer and LongJohn?....I guess Stevie Wonder might think they look cute?.....but surely not you?.....Thanks for the sweet poem gal.....(those other two are very ungrateful kinda guys...they'll probably not thank you or anything......Balladeer may reply with something like, "This is a wonderfully written poem dear, of course I'd expect no less from you because you're such a talented writer and a very dear person,,,(could I borrow five dollars from you till Monday?).....LongJohn, if he does reply will say something like, "This is a wonderful poem and I thank you so much....(what color panties are you wearing?)"....but not me, old sincere, sweet, kind, caring, shy Toerag, I mean what I say and I thank you......(by the way, (just in case LongJohn asks...what color panties are you wearing?)....

Ethel, I too look forward to seeing something here on these pages blue form all three of them. Many times when my life just seems so full of troubles and I start sinking down into depression, I can come here and read, and I will feel a little better.

Sue, I know what you mean. Those three can put a smile on my face, even when I'm feeling so sad and blue from loneliness for Gary.

The sun doesn't shine in my day till I see that sweet Toerag's words. *S*

And since Long John can't read italics and that holiday of thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, I'll confess that I give thanks for those other two scalawags, too... *G*

This is a fine tribute to the trio, gg... a better bunch could never be. *S*

Here I was, all by myself, a figure of respect and class, writing my poetry in a serious and dedicated way, a friend to all......and then those two came in. In my own sophisticated manner, I did my best to ignore them and their crude, vulgar ways and I could have continued doing so except for one small fact - they were so FUNNY!!

So I decided what the hell..and joined in! Never again shall I be known as the staid, domininant, patriarchal, distinguished figure I once was (psst...I'm using words I know they can't understand)...but is shure is fun!!!

I'm glad you enjoy our silly antics as much as we enjoy doing them....that's what it's all about

Balladeer, thanks for your reply. I knew you would, even if ole Toerag didn't think so.
Do you know how I knew?!? I knew because you are  STILL  a  "staid, dominant, patriarchal, distinguished figure". But I also knew because you sure are having fun with all these funny poems and good humor that you all exchange.
Thanks to all of you because ya'll sure do keep all of us here at PIP with a big grin on our faces. HaHa !!
