Low light, mood is right
but somehow nothing is right
Candles burning, and i am burning, again
Burnt incense and lost innocence
I sit here drinking, thinking of you
I pour another and hit repeat,
and listen to this song again, and again, and again
and i wish it were you i was drinking

It's been awhile, longer than it seems
Sometimes i still feel your body next to mine
breathing softly, breathing me, breathing you
But i've been walking alone lately,
and when i reach out to grab your hand, it's not there
You're not here

It's getting cold out, and i am getting cold
they say the snow will be falling soon,
and i am falling out, falling in, and i just
keep walking,..........and waiting

I wrote a poem with a similar title, waiting for the snow to fall, so I had to peek in here and read. This is so lonely in it's read. A sad but lovely write.

Welcome! Extremely poignant piece. Some great lines here. Great title, too.
