Sleepless, I roam the castle dark the cold stone floor under my feet nothing but mice for company and in my heart I only weep. Too late to salvage this poor life yet stumbling, I still go on and dream awake of could have beens if life were lived like once upon. |

Thanks, all you sweet friends who read this little piece. I am working on getting back in good with my muse. Mark, I can't think of another poem with those lines, but I agree it would be a good beginning. Guess I'm not up to challenges yet. Have't written for 2 months! Hugs all Sandra |
