quietly_weeping_for_a_cure

Paused just between significance and applause
We are burdened with lust but plagued with devotion
And we can thank god for these dislocated joints
Because just when we think standing has become stable
Our knees give out and we suffocate under the weight of love
We’ll exit to the right, slumped over the shoulders of addiction
And pay homage to the days of pitching pennies into the canyons

We’ll cross our legs and rest our faces deep into our hands
Quietly weeping for a cure and the freedom to speak thoughts of our own submission
All at the cost of solitude and an afternoon blanket romance
We won’t drown ourselves in hateful spirits or stagnate pride
Because we’re not watered down, just senseless, extreme and divine

interesting. you almost seem to preach in the way that which maligns you does.

i'll be thinking about this one for a bit.

I think this is a remarkable poem.  Honestly.  Nothing quiet about this.

Interesting indeed!
Life is like that.
The only "cure" I can imagine might be a return to the womb.

(big huggssssssss) This is so very sad but true, sweet friend, you have hit the bullseye here, we are all senseless and can't find the courage to stand up and speak and then others take those brave souls for granted and restrain them because they fear corruption! (sad sigh) I hope somehow this can all change and many more can be heard, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Neill, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
