I love my cappuccino
vanilla, just a trace
No more just plain coffee
satisfies my taste
On this chilly morning
it really hits the spot
A little touch of Winter
I think we've surely got
The sun is shining brightly
in the clear blue sky
It's just a wee bit cool
I feel a little sigh
With want of seeing snow
across the field one day
Will again it happen
now who can really say
If it happens, I'll be glad
to see the pure white snow
Until then, being satisfied
seeing pictures you all show
Drinking my cappuccino
staying snug and warm
Thinking about the snow
with its pure white charm

(smiles) Oh Ethel, I too love cappuccino so much, I love mine with french vanilla or caramel flavoring, mmmmmmmm! (kiss on cheek) This had me thinking of sitting on Christmas in front of the fire snug and warm under my velvet blankie hearing sweet bird songs and Christmas music, yay, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

BRAVO!!!!!!!........from one Java junkie!!!!
This is so great, and here I sit with my cup whilst I read your words!  But take it from one who used to live in 'big snow' country...it's very pretty, but a real pain to have to shovel all winter long!!!  LOL!!!

Pen how you truly feel...
it is a safety-valve for the soul!

Hey, Sunnyone...that stuff is good, isn't it? About the snow, yeah that shoveling it would be the down side, wouldn't it?? Thanks for your reply.

Well, Bernie, maybe that was a bit too much. HeeHee!! I like the little chilliness, but I don't like the freezing temperatures, either. So, thanks for reminding me to be thankful for the weather we have here in good ole Florida!!!! It is great, isn't it??

Oh, and I like the hot chocolate with marshmallows, too. I buy that and my cappuccino at Wal-Mart. I might run into ole Balladeer there sometimes on Friday nights, according to his poem. HeeHee!!

Nice poem.. Im also from florida.. What city are you from? because this morning was a little chily, and we are having a fire tonight. ( Its going down in the 40's. )
Anyway. Your poem explained what it was like this morning and so i knew you were from florida, but to make sure I check your profile..

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Hey, Bernie.....I said that about Balladeer because he said in his poem that he goes to Wal-Mart every Friday night. that would be something if we all met in the aisle where the cappuccino, coffee and hot chocolate is, wouldn't it?? HaHa!!
About the weather, I think it was real chilly this morning (like the low 50's)......

Thanks, Robert, for reading and for your reply. Well, I'd like to see the snow, but not live where it snows all the time. My daughter has lived in Massachusetts for about all of her married life, and she said she just is not a Northener. She said it just gets too cold. She wants to move back to Florida. I sure do wish they would.

Yeah, it got near 40 here, too.

Good one Ethel, I loved reading it, imagining you sitting on your porch maybee, sipping a hot mug of Capachino. I personally love Chai tea. It is so good, and helps a troubled mind. But Cappachino's oK if you smother it in warm gooey caramel.

Hey I finaly figured out how to get my profile signature to show, but do you know how to get it to show all the tme without checking the little box? i forget a lot and everyone else seems regular about it, so I'm figuring there is is a way.....

Thanks for reading and replying to my poem.
I've never tried the iced ones. Tim Horton's huh? I'll have to try it. Do they have the French Vanilla flavor? That's my favorite. I love it, too.

Ethel, I will gladly give you all of our New England snow when it gets here.

I enjoyed this but wonder how cool is cool in Florida on this morning?

Marti, I know. I hate to even say "how cool is cool" here in Florida.....let's just say that I wish I had a place big enough to bring all of my family of friends here who are having all those really chilly temperatures up North. I love to see snow for a little while, but I don't think I could get used to living where it snows all the time. I lived in Germany many years ago for a little while and it snowed there...but never snow storms or blizzards or anything.
As I said in an earlier reply, my daughter lives up there in Massachusetts and even though she has lived there for many years, she still wants to move back down here. She says she just can't get used to the cold weather there. Her family loves it there, though, since that's where her husband is from.

Okay I resisted long enough. Capuccino is one of the decadent delights I no longer afford myself for it's just too high in carbs. *sigh*

But when I was out on the road with my husband, it was a morning staple we did not do without. And the flavors that can be found in the truck stops all over this country are as diverse as the people. They have banana walnut, pumpkin spice, eggnog, white chocolate almond, english toffee, cinammon vanilla nut..and the list just goes on and on. It got to where if the machine was broken, I would fix it just to get my fix!

A luxurious drink that I dearly miss. But alas, it's just not good for me.

AAWW, Anne, I'm sorry. I know it's not good for me, but I dearly love it. I've tried lots of the other flavors, but I always go back to the French Vanilla one.
Thanks for your reply.
