Balladeer works very hard, and he spends most evenings out,
Trying to make the ends meet with a moonlight job, no doubt.
One evening his lovely spouse decided that she'd give him a special night,
And took Balladeer out on the town to see the strip club sights.

"Hey, ‘Deer! How are you tonight?" said the bouncer at the door,
His wife, surprised, asked Balladeer if he'd been there before.
"No, my sweet, he's just a guy on the bowling team I'm on,"
Said ‘Deer with an injured look, as though he'd been set upon.

They found good seats and watched the show until the waitress neared,
"Ohhh, it's nice to see you again, you devil, Balladeer.
A Southern Comfort and Lemonade?  And, my, you're looking hot!"
His wife's eyes widened in surprise, "You must come here a lot!"

"Oh no, she's on my volleyball team," our Balladeer nervously laughed.
Just then a stripper walked up to him, "The usual dance on your lap?".
His wife, fuming, collected her things and stormed out to the street,.
Balladeer saw her getting in a cab, so he jumped in the passenger seat.

His wife glared at him, seething with fury, then ripped poor ‘Deer apart,
While the cabbie looked on in surprise, not knowing whether to start.
Just when ‘Deer had calmed her down and made her see the light,
The cabbie winked at her and said to ‘Deer, "You picked a wild one tonight!"

That ol' Balladeer sure knows his sports. - heh

OOOOHHHH, Mr. Sailor Man.......now just what is ole Ball-Deer gonna tell on you about now??? You'd better not let  YOUR  wife read PIP for the next few days. It could get mighty revealing, Mr. Sailor Man !!!!!

A wise old man once said....

He who takes to the club
one who fixes the grub
shall get a bowl of pits
and told to kiss my grits!

I hope you enjoyed your treat balladeer.

Good poem.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

I am wounded! Here I've been going after Toerag and the mooseman, showing complete respect to all sailors....and look at my reward!

Guess I better take the torpedoes out of the mothballs and go a-huntin'.

You cad! LOL!
