I walk the way of sad darkness
And stay away from the daylight
So none may see I’m but sadness.

My life is kept hidden from light,
In the byways far from the seeing
I wear the cloak of the cold night.

You might say from life I’m fleeing,
That I never wish to be found,
Letting none know my sad being.

But I suffer without a sound,
Solemn accepts a life of less,
Walking within this darken ground.

Gloom

well then you certainly live up to your taken name!

seriously though, i felt that first stanza should have been one line. I mean reading it as three lines in pace made it seem like the only reason the lines breaks were there was to preserve form, which is a poor reason.

otherwise the poem itself is good. lots of dark. it reminds me of celines depressed novels.

Good poem... I think this is the first of your poems ive seen.. But i dunno. Good job.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
