My brow furrowed into fifteen folds of skin.
My pen tap-tap-tapping on the top of my paper
~so far the splatters left are all I have written.
I cannot write just anything!
I WILL not write just anything
for I do not want him to say just anything.
My appetite is not sated by just a few words.
I would have him put twice as many spaces inbetween

so   I    might    pretend    it    is     more

      than              it              is...

A poet is like a painter.
My tongue be my brush
and I stroke sighs all through my paper.
But I lack the illustration
to portray my heart's privation.

Though I write this for you,
you'll write something better and leave me burning in the dust of new.
The last few remnants of my page will be left
lowering through the atmosphere of my brain,
dissapating and falling apart,
leaving ashes floating in each new layer of heart.
Still, I'll give this to you
and hopefully, you'll give me all I ask in return.
Nothing and everything...
just a few words from James...

Interesting read.  I have done the tap-tap-tapping...and click, click, clicking, as well.  I think you did more than leave just...a few words.  You left behind some thought.

Krissie, I suppose you tap, tap tapped this out online to James in the wee morning hours? (on CA. coast it was) Such talent you have. I'm impressed!

Let me say my appetite for your poetry is not sated because of you posting so little.

I know why and soon I hope you shall be able to start posting more.
Take care of yourself....you are always in my heart and my prayers.

Lots of Hugs to you,
Love Ya,
Pat

This is wonderful, my friend, and the sharing of words can never ever be too little. I enjoyed tremendously!!

Pen how you truly feel...

Oh I just love this...the angsty ache of it..
the poetic analogies to express the emotions..how we struggle with our muses, needing our words do the feelings justice
very very cool write POETESS Krissie.
So good to read you again.
Thank you for the wonderful reply you left..and all your encouragement of my work.
peace, poetry and hugs to ya girlie

i can't get enough of structure in poems! love spaces and weird punctuation usage! more people need to incorporate structure in their work, doncha think??
