Firstlight I woke first and watched you sleep. I watched the dawn's light reflect on your face. The sun's soft glow moved softly over you. I leaned over and kissed you gently. A smile first and then you opened your eyes. I held you close and kissed you again. In dawn's first light we renewed our committment. The day was long and so involved but around you the moon revolved I took the lamp and lit my way found you kneeling in soft pray "Lord give me my lover's heart, from her never let me part, Let me be my best for her that her love be reassured." I blew upon the candle's wick and fell into the darkness thick. |
