I am alone for now,
The house is empty.

I stare out the window
at the empty streets
One glimmering streetlight
In semidarkness leaves flutter

Expecting a lone dog to wander down the street
Or a few drops of rain
Or even a bird to stop by my window

The wind is so feice tonight,
Blowing its hardest.
At least, one of them is.
I am just sitting here,
Alone for now

I like the feel of this
the feel of the moment....

Dude... I loved your poem.. It reminds me of when I see other people, boyfriend+Girlfriend.. I dont any girlfriend.. so you see where im going?... But yeah.. your poem triggered my emotions.
( Cries )... lol... Nah, it was a good poem. Good Job!

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

I've had such moments as well. It's a good poetic exercise to write, as you have done, on these little moments in time.

Enjoyed your sharing such a moment.

Teehee...just an aside...the most brilliant of us poets have mind faster than fingers syndrome...that's what makes the typos...that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Wonderful write this evening. Emotion and flow were very effective. ThisDiamond

Wind~
This is a heart-tugger.
You've expressed these feelings well.
Very nicely done.
