Stone axe and spear in my hand
I am the one who fights
Strong is my love of my land
Guarding the cave each lonely night

Sword and shield in my hand
I am the keeper of right
Serving my king I take my stand
My enemys all fear my might

Flint lock and knife in my hands
I am the first one to fight
On to the west my counry expands
Liberty reigns as the eagle takes flight

Cap lock an saber in my hands
Wearing grey or blue as the war ignites
Fighting for what each understands
Brother against brother in fire fights

Rifle and grenade in my hands
Fighting for freedom and human rights
From muddy trenchs to desert sands
Tanks on the prowl and bombers in flights

GLOBAL THERMO-NUCLEAR WAR

Stone axe and spear in my hand
I am the one who fights
Strong is the love of my land
Guarding the cave each lonely night

This poem was based on a paper I wrote in college titled "Will Global Therm-nuclear War cure mankind of his warlike nature?".What do you think?

You are absolutely right in this write...we have so much to lose and nothing to gain with nuclear warfare...I can see the doomsday clock advancing to 12 o'clock...one tick at a time..

...believe what your heart feels...

You show wisdom in your words.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Robert, you write with such knowledge and unmistakable wisdom. I worry constantly for my children and pray there will never be another war in our lifetime. I think it is an empty prayer.

Hugs to you, Marti

Robert,  you penned it perfectly...and the
gigantic oooops of our mushrooms growing,
then the return to the cave....so very
appropriate for the reality of what might be.

Fight the fight against a foe
take the trouble to their place.
Fight on my friend,  never show
anything but courage on the face.

Though the nerves do scream to run
and leave behind a devil's hell.
Fight the fight,  with loaded gun,
come back home,  with much to tell.

BRAVO!!! Oh Robert, such wisdom flows fro your heart, sweet friend, I only hope that this kind of violence can slowly disintegrate and ones own violent actions can be mediated! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Robert, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
