I wish for you
someone to touch your heart

Someone to climb a mountain with
someone to break your fall
and be your reason for taking risks.

Someone who wants you on their side despite your lack of skill
someone who will bounce the ball back to you
and bend a couple rules.

Someone to wipe away your tears
someone to hold your hand in theirs
and tell you everything will be all right.

Someone to take you places you've never been before
someone who will go the extra mile for you
and keep you from ever looking back.

Someone to light the candles
someone to pour you wine
and fill your glass.

Someone to build a fire inside
someone to tuck the blanket in
and watch you while you sleep.

Someone who will come to you when you need them to
someone who thinks the world of you
and the reason it goes round.

Someone who writes you love letters
someone who's always thinking of you
surprising you when you least expect it.

Someone who makes your memories
someone who'll always remember you
and give you reason to believe.

Someone to love you for all the right reasons
someone to be there every turn of the season
and be the words to the song that sing.

Someone to build your dreams with
someone to give you a place to start
and make the moment last.

I can now recognize the important ways to heal a heart that may have been left on the desert. I could never get tired of reading this poem. Thank you.

This is a very special, ~precious~
poem. That we could have half of those wishes fulfilled, we'd surely feel blessed; all, and we'd think we died and went to heaven! (smiling).
