* * * *

If I speak to the sky
Will it help to ease my pain
Or will my tears become lost
When the clouds release the rain

Will the sun keep me warm
As I struggle through this day
I just hope the wind will come
And blow my troubles far away

Will the moon be my guide
As I walk alone at night
Will it keep me from this darkness
So that I will not lose sight

I know that I'll find comfort
If I escape inside my dreams
There my troubles will be few
And not as bad as they seem

So come to me Mr. Sandman
Sprinkle your magic through the air
Take me to the land of dreams
Won't you please take me there?

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

I hope this is not a cry of "I have insomnia!"

Hush little one
for all is still
and see the Sandman
come up the hill
he comes for you
so yawn and he
shall sprinkle dust
for dreams to see...

well since I am Wind, I guess I should blow your troubles away, but even the wind can't do that through the internet (sigh) but wow, that was an awsome poem, it really made me happy when I read it. So much like my daydreams.

Enjoyed your poem muchly.  If we only could succeed in travelling to the land of dreams...

The Sandman said to pass this on...

Do you know the time of night,
...just before the dawn?
When parents sleep and children dream,
...of fairies on the lawn?
When night and day are one the same,
...and dreams come ever true?
Then take my hand and fly with me,
...up to the heavens blue,
Amongst the stars and comets bright,
...unto the land of Dream,
Where hate and fear are unknown words,
...and love is all supreme,
Where pain and drugs are make believe,
...and unicorns are real,
Where happiness and tenderness,
...are all you ever feel,
Where floods and storms just don't exist,
...and clouds are sweet whipped cream,
Will you take your hand in mine,
...and fly to land of Dream?

Sue, I conjured up this fairy godmother to try and take you to your land of dreams.
Hang on tight, she might be a bit rusty!!

Beautiful poem and you know how much I love these photo's.

Very nicely done, Sue. I enjoyed it a great deal. Sweet dreams! And, you are right, sometimes a good night's sleep helps a lot! Hope so! (smiling) and, sometimes, as if by magic, after sleeping on it, a solution is right there...upon waking.

Hugs,
and warm regards,
Pat

Sue;  I loved your poem and can really relate to it.  Sleepless nights are hard to bear!  Hope you don't have many of them.
