It’s a Matter of You

Simple questions
     demand forthright answers
she only asked “how do you find time
to write?”
The imp in me wanted to say something
silly, like
“how do people find time to breathe?”

for it is that important.

To me.

Because, it’s a matter of you –
     the you in search
the you I’ve not yet met.

I’m still looking to peer
over that ledge
to find where you hide,
where you scurry between lines
and rustle the leaves
        of yesterday

sometimes I sense that you are the
smile waiting to be unfolded,
an eye crinkle awaiting birth,
as I sense you
in the taste of earth.

Yes.  It’s a simple matter
of you.

More important that I find you
to join hands in this search –
           for I already know
                   where I am at…
                          right here.
                                 Breathing.

Peering over the edge
of my write, here.

How DO we all find time to breathe?

"I already know
where I am at...                        right here...                            Breathing."

Simply beautiful.

Hello Karilea

I have no doubt that so many people, myself included, can so easily relate to your words.  I hope all is well with you.

Take care......Sue

ahhhhhhh....please......
never stop writing...for you see...
we breath in the words as well

I do not think that we find it, rather, I believe that it finds us.

Thank you.

To write is to breathe
To breathe is to write
We have the right to breathe
and the right to write
When the breath is right
the write is right
Then breath and write are outta sight!

Oh, please excuse my nonsensical reply to your lovely and most eloquent poetry!

You said it more eloquently than I ever could, Karilea.   I'm keeping this.

I want to thank all of you for gathering something and holding it inside, and I would like to thank Dark Angel for breathing another flight of life into this poem.

Thanks to everyone...for making me smile!
