Purgatorial Incarceration

Framed
©2002 C.G. Ward

she knelt,
swathed in black
like a sorceress communing
with the knaves of nature.

bent,
slender hand outstretched
in benediction -
or hope,
billowed in the coolness
of solitude.

her face though,
captured me.

framed slight
in curls of auburn smiles,
eyes glimmered to the left
       - hers, not mine -
in the suggestion
that time
is only shared
with those who understand
that life is a moment,
not a trial.

Now this one I loved!  The entire thing but of course the fact that you had my life's motto in there helped your rating   I always thought you have to be a bit of an antique to get this about life...

that time
is only shared
with those who understand
that life is a moment,
not a trial

sometimes, I even agree with your mysterious muse...

a beauty and I agree, the mood of her suits you.

Think I'd like to save this, for later inspiration.

Sharon - Thank you for your effusive comments. I don't think one has to be antique to know of things such as this... just aware.

Maree - Thanks for stopping by.

M - Brat, but thank you, sincerely.

JM - It was a picture of a girl I met online that prompted this... just one of those snapshot moments that hit the inspiration button. Thank you kind moth.

Lauren - ever supportive... i appreciate that. hugs back

Karen - So who is this mysterious muse, you think? hugs to you too.

majnu - sounds like fun... name the place and i'll read it.

reluctantlyme - let me know if you ever develop anything from the inspiration.

peace all -

I would bet your words paint an even more beautiful picture than the photograph--lovely!!
