somebody's dungeon

It's that time when I forget to breathe.
A moment of such stiff despair
I am skewered, held in place painfully.
Panic, so loud, so loud, screams
from inside. An incessant groaning
so deep within it rocks the foundation
this horrendous bubble up of fear
surfaces, stopping the heart, no
it speeds up to outrageous pace.
An overwhelm so enormous, too big
too much, I give in and the trembling
~begins~

You write what anyone can write about, but never as good as you..

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

You did a wonderful job of describing a panic attack. Don't know if you were being creative, or, if this is your experience. I will tell you, in this day and age there are many means of help available and no one should ever have to go through this alone. It is a quite common occurance as you probably know, and a good description for those who've never had the experience.

I love your writing, and this is no exception.  Thanks, you probably did a favor to someone ~out there~, letting them know they are not crazy, or alone with this debilitating condition.

Warm Regards,
Pat

Breathe, sweet rose of white, breathe--slow, deep, and even.

Breathe in peace and wellness, breathe out all stress and negativity.

Let go and let God. Relax your body and in your mind put yourself in a pleasant place--perhaps a Japanese garden filled with the fragrance of jasmine---colorful koi fish reflecting the rays of the sun as they lazily swim about an ornamental pond....

Breathe in and out, breathe in and out....

~ Sending you pink loving light

Connel, thank you for that very nice compliment. It is most appreciated.

Pat, it is unfortunate that I know this feeling well. A really quirky malady. Insurance issues keep me trying whatever can be had over the counter. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Linda, what a soothing response. So nice and calming. How sweet. Thanks so much.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Anne, I know these attacks ever so well, I had these kind of paraoxyms when I was a little boy and had nightmares all the time and felt I was going to suffocate and faint! (sigh) I hope all of that has subsided, sweet friend, I think we all have this every now and then, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Wow, very descriptive and to the point. "I am skewered, held in place painfully." I wish you much success and liked this poem. Thank you.

Thank you Noah, I'm happy to say I've not had one in a few weeks anyway.

Robert, Thank you so much for reading and for responding.
