In the ageless acceptable principle
That we must excel to new heights
Setting new standards of excellence
In dreams born before us

Some of are driven
To the point of exhaustion
Never having the chance to become children
Playing within our own fantasies

So as we must succeed with no failures
So we become disorientated
In the strict rules governing us
Finally rebelling in the tyranny of it

Life must involve individual pleasures
The self satisfaction of succeeding
On your own initiatives
Taking the steps in your own time

Being driven is alright
As long as you are not steam rolled
Into a pressure cooker
Take the steps in between to learn
What life is really about

So in a new doctrine of mutual respect
Let’s join in the believe
We all can have an affect
In the free spirit guiding us all
Setting their own standards individually

I love these principles penned here, they could almost be tenets of faith for they are very Desiderata like

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
