Off your duff,
says the prof,
dip quill in ink
and think!

Open your Thesaurus,
says Doris,
don't make a fuss,
but don't bore us!

Find a new format!
Don't be a doormat!
Time flies,
inspiration dies
if it is repudiated
not stimulated.
***************

Don't ask too many Q's about this one.
Just go check out the November Poetry Workshop, and you'll understand.
Me? I'm going to go contemplate my navel
and see if I can find some inspiration.

How's your contemplation going?

You do inspire smiles.

and I thank you for that!

Oh and about the doormat, as long I don't lay down it will never happen, not to say I haven't tripped over the damn thing a time or two.

funny you~

Personally, maybe too much so, (? ) I have a navel full of inspiration...and you ain't even looked my my elbows yet.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

ROTFL at your reply Michael! OK, let's see the nooks and crannies of those bendable arms.
Thanks everyone. Now, who is brave enough to really attempt this new form? The unpronounceable poetic form that sounds like a yummy sweet treat? (Terza Rima)
