There are two sides of me, though one I
tend to hide
The one is always smiling, while one has
tears inside

What everyone else wanted, one's always
tried to be
You've tried hard to encourage for me just
to ever be "me"

Part of me is ever caring, what others
think of us
With your help I'm beginning to see, my heart
I need to trust

Though myself I'm trying to be, and to ever
follow my heart
This other side of me just doesn't want to
completely part

The face that wants to always please others,
I wish would stay away
So I could just follow my heart, then my face of
true happiness would stay

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Ethel, I understand just how you feel, I always prefer to use only that one half of me where I love everyone and forgive everyone butthen also there are times when someone is hurting someone else or is being unfair and I want to tell that person to respect that other person and peacefully make justice too! (sigh) Always follow your heart and be the loving friend you are for we all love the side you share, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ethel, you are such a sport! You certainly were up to the challenge! This was a wonderfully raw and real, right write!--spoke from your heart and lay bare the real you.

Yes, we really need to please ourselves first---To thine own self be true.

~ happy hugs to a huge heart

Thank you, Linda. That's really all I know to be....just me.
Even when I try to be what others want me to be, the real me  ALWAYS
comes out sooner or later....HeeHee!!! (Can't figure out if that's good or bad,
sometimes, though????? I've been told I can be
pretty hard-headed !!)

Looks like we have the same two faces (does that make 4 faces?). I like it!

You met that challenge with grace. No matter what, both of your sides have a say in everything(unless you are a suppermodel with a disfigured left side....)And most definately both are wonderfull in their own way

Honest, introspective look into the different faces that make up all of us.  Interesting challenge.

When you can face yourself in a confident way then you can face the world. I think all of your faces are lovely.

Do they charge you double for a facial?

Ethel,

You did a wonderful job with this challenge. I'm kinda wanting to try it myself, but am kinda afraid of what I might find when I explore my other face. LOL. I too have a friend(s) that encourage me to be myself, but it is sooo hard to have to be the course of dissent. I thank you kindly for your loving response to my poem yesterday as well.

yes I can relate , viewing both sides , one appears the other hides
this was a good look at the inside and out
I have written a similar one way back in my archives somewhere , I shall have to drag it out

Dawn, thanks so much for your sweet heartfelt reply
to my poem. I appreciate it very much.
People may get tired here of hearing about mine
and Gary's great love,
but I just can't explain how much he has helped me.
He always wants me to just be "me".
Yes, you should write your poem about "Two Faces". I'll be
looking for it.
