Two faces have I
One to laugh, one to cry
Four lips for to kiss
In despair or in bliss...

Two pair of green eyes
One naive, one is wise
Each part of the one
Take it all, or take none...

Pen how you truly feel...
it is a safety-valve for the soul!

I could not believe my eyes when I read your title. I was just about to post my poem "Two Faces" and with the same theme! Go figure!
Oh, well, your's is VERY well done, and the picture was a perfect addition!

I guess great minds think alike! haha

EA....that is really funny!!!!  I think YES, you should definitely post yours right away, and also maybe make a challenge to all the other great minds out there to write along the same theme.......what do you think????  Sounds like fun, huh???

Sometimes the kiss in despair can lead to bliss, others too often the reverse. The eyes naive can wisen, seldom the reverse. Tis all the make-up of this paradox we are. Enjoyed the read.

Sunnyone, this is beautiful and the picture just sets
it off. The reply you gave to Linda is really good.
It will be interesting to see all the talented
minds of you poets at work on the same theme.
I can hardly wait to see it!!

As soon as I saw your reply--and challenge--I posted my own poem entitled "Two Faces". I still think that this was so uncanny how we were posting these at the same time!

Sunnyone,

I enjoyed this poem very much. I found Linda's poem first and had to come read yours after reading hers. Both were very beautiful.

RSWells...thank you, my friend. Yes, both faces blend into the one, to be used at our whim!

nakdthoughts...I seem to recall the same old song, but it's really old and obscure, too.  Thank you, my friend!

Enchantress...I had such fun making the pic. Actually, I think the pic came first! Thank you, my friend!

garysgirl...oh yes, I really do hope that the 'family' sets out to do their own take on our many faces. Thank you, my friend!

jwesley...it seems to me that the hidden is sometimes more complex and interesting than the visible, eh?  Thank you, dear friend!

Noah...I'm so very glad that you liked this one. You may not know it, but you have inspired my thoughts many times here!! Thank you, my friend!

Earth Angel...oh, I just loved your faces!!!
The experience that we shared on this one just proves the bond that everyone here has, and how strong the forces of thought can be!
Thank you, sis!

SmartChick...hi there, and I got my MSN back working again, so buzz me, ok?  I'm happy that this one gave you a good read, and thank you, too, my friend!

Dawn...yes, her poem is wonderful, and the way we clicked on this at the same time was just unbelievable!  Thank you, my friend!!

Pen how you truly feel...
it is a safety-valve for the soul!

Two faced poets are twice as interesting!

Loved this one, friend. And aren't you glad today you are in my ancestral homeland (Staffordshire), and not in the shake and quake state?
