There is a God above, who on us is
looking down
He loves to see our
smiles, but so often sees our frowns

When our troubles, trials and woes we
always think upon
can we find joy in
our hearts, when we do this, dear one?

In the "Good Book" if we read, we will
find so clearly
what if we think
upon, will bring smiles and joy, surely

Thank you, Noah. Thinking about my
brother, like I have today, has made
me think of depression and the demons
behind this horrible thing.
Thank you, sweet friend, for always
knowing just the right thing to say.
I appreciate you very much.

Oh, sweet Chippymunk, you are so sweet and kind.
I didn't mean that God doesn't understand
our tears or frowns when we do have them.
Also, He loves us through every heartache,
trouble, trial, woe, or anything else we
go through. I just meant that I sometimes
dwell upon all the bad things in my life,
and not the good things. In other words, I
don't feel as thankful as I should at times.
Dear lady, you smile even through your pain.
I can tell from your loving and kind words
through your poems and replies. I only wish
that I could be more like you. You are very
special, sweet Lyra.
Thanks so much for your sweet reply. Thanks
so much, too, for your prayers for my brother.
He is so pitiful right now.
Thanks to you for being you, dear sweet Lyra.

This reminds me that it takes less muscle
to smile, than to frown...
I wear a lot of smilie wrinkles!  Thanks for this, Ethel...

garysgirl,
sometime we have to make a choice to smile when we do not feel like it and I'm sure you give lots of sunshine with your smiles.
