I have a lot of strange dreams, but this one is really strange

I knew they were after me,
My kind were not allowed.
We had been banished
For past mistakes,
Some we did not know of.

I knew not why I was here,
But I knew that I was here for a reason.
This place was strange,
A mix between unlikely subjects,
A top secret military base
A child's playground
A restaurant and theater.

I ran through the halls.
I felt the eyes of the guards,
But they did not raise their weapons,
They did not follow me.
It was like they were playing a game with me.

I saw a turn
Guards on all sides.
One raised his gun,
Shouted “halt!”
Instead I clapped my hands once,
And time stood still,
Just for me.

I rounded the edge and clapped my hands again,
Enjoyed the bemused expression on the guard’s face
For a second
Then ran into another one.
I clapped my hands,
He froze.

My power helped me,
Saved me many times.
It only worked on the guards,
Ordinary people were not affected.
They gave me advice,
Wished me luck.

Then I entered the theater,
A room cascaded in red velvet,
And saw an enemy.
I clapped my hands,
But still he advanced,
Told me “Your power doesn’t work on me.”
And I jumped,
Over him, opened the door, Passed the guards,
Not bothering to clap my hands,
To save myself.

Pushed open the door,
Did stunts I knew I could never do in real life.
That’s when I realized that this was a dream.

I saw the offspring of flies on the ground,
The white worms,
Feeding on living creatures,
I could not stand the sight,

I entered the outdoor restaurant,
Abandoned,
Old copper furniture,
Green from the rain
Old walls of stone,
Saw more parasites,
Small beetles feeding on a bigger one,
I wanted to put it out of its misery,
But was afraid of killing things.

I turned around,
Found someone who wasn’t
I ran toward the playground,
Grabbed a vine,
Swung until I got to the metal castle,
Grabbed desperately for the rope swing and swung again.
They were behind me,
I climbed the tower but they followed.

I remembered that this was a dream,
I was immortal…

I jumped,
Flew over a cliff,
Struggled to stay airborne,
To fly.
It worked,
But how did they keep up with me?

I crossed a small stream,
And reached a meadow with a peach tree.
They were right there.
I clapped my hands,
Time stood still.

Then I saw movement,
The man who had power’s beyond mine.
He told me he would kill me if he got the chance,
Told me that it was to bad,
That I was a worthy opponent.
I asked him why I was here.

I still don’t remember what he said,
But I remembered what I told him,
Then everyone was moving again,
And instead of attacking,
They picked me up,
Carried me like the star player of a football game,
My people rushed to me,
And we embraced,
Never to be harmed again.

I think this dream had a hidden meaning, but I can’t figure it out. That’s the trouble with dreams!

We all have them,  some make sense,  others
do not...Often leaving us lying there, heart
racing,  sometimes a bead of sweat on one's
brow...Vivid write,  and no,  I don't have
a clue for ya...
