Confound it anyway,
everyone is saying,
“Soak it!”
stealing away my
“legitimate excuse”

“Soak it!?”
So what you’re saying is...
“Go ahead and do those dishes.”

Confound it!
Some friends you are!

Well, if you’re all sure
that it will make it better...
if you’re really sure,
what sensible choice do I have?

Look out detergent water,
here comes gravel Gertie’s
gravel-laden hand.
You better not bite!

Virginia,  is the dishwasher broken?  Seems
that I know some dishes that are shaking in
fear of the sponge and pad!!!

I do dishes...

Nah, I'm going to do them. Even the pharmacist said to soak my hand in salt water to draw out the gravel. The doctor would use something like a small toothbrush to try to get the gravel out.

Well, at least dishwater doesn't have salt in it to add to the pain of the task. Maybe after I give my hand a good soaking there, the gravel will come out and I can just re-bandage with soothing antibiotic ointment, again. Thanks for your kind thoughts, though and for reading.

Well, as a report, my hand, once the raw skin got used to the heat of the dishwater, actually felt better while washing, soaking, than when not. Odd, eh? May draw out the infection and eventually the gravel pieces. They are just tiny ones that I can't get a hold of with the tweezers. Maybe I should use a needle like going after a sliver. Eeeeeeeeek! That sounds way too painful. I am such a wuss.

Hey, Magnus, are you volunteering to do my dishes? Ooops! I already did them. However, I can make more easily.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(giggles in delight) Well then, in that case, let that washing begin! (smiles) It is funny how sometimes we end up feeling more comfortable doing the things we usually don't desire, I love this, keep warm today, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
