On A Journey To The Unknown

I Ask Myself
~ By Sue ~

When I think back
To when I was growing up
It seemed to me
Life was just too tough

Being taught to be kind
To each and everyone
No matter what they do
Kindness is the best one

It did not seem the other kids
Were ever taught the same as me
They did not do the same
They were always mean you see

Still, when they were in need
With forgiveness in my heart
I was right there to help
But, they always broke my heart

To me it seemed
There were very few
Who were taught the same
As I was taught to do

I ask myself
Where is that forgiveness today
I must have lost it
Somewhere a long the way

You are surrounded by it, in passionate blue.
I'm sorry you've had so many mean spirited people in your life. Sometimes cyberland can be mean too, but you can pull the plug on the meanies anytime you want.

It is easy to become jaded when we feel we are the only ones on the giving side of the 'give-and-take equation' in our relationships with others---especially at those times when we are experiencing difficulties in our own lives---as you have been--, sweet Sue.

At the present time you are in need of a great deal of healing---both emotionally and physically. As you begin to heal may your heart open up and may you embrace life once more. Healing takes time, but it will happen.

Take good care of yourself and sending you extra warm hugs...

Linda

Funny...I see it in every write...and exceptional and special woman. Life lessons are tough...how lucky we are to have grown strong despite them.  Some are not so lucky.

Sue, my dear sweet friend, you have a
VERY  kind and tender heart. It's just
been hurt very badly right now, and
you aren't real familiar with the
feelings you are having.
People like you and me, who are
brought up this way, get hurt very
deeply, because it's hard to realize
that not everyone is kind and gentle
in this world.
One day I was feeling down because
someone had treated me in an un-kind
way, and my Mother said something
to me that I've thought of a lot since.
She said that it's the good, kind,
loving, gentle people in this world
that get hurt the most. Let's just be
thankful that God has given us this
kind of heart, and pray for the ones
who don't have this kind.
I do think that pouring your heart out
the way you have in this poem is a good
way of getting the healing you need.
Thanks for sharing your heart with
us, sweet Sue.
~With Love And Hugs~

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sue, you have a big golden that shines with true love always and I think you will always set a good example to other kids as a forgiving loving person and the epitome of compassion to all your loved ones! (sigh) Know you are loved by us all and the love you exhibit is so rare so you are never alone, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sometimes it seems that way...but really...it is all around you.  Just listen for those angel wings fluttering....see?

Sue, I don't think you have lost kindness I think you generate it and then it returns like a thrown boomerang.

Good poem

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
