You needed some nectar,
and a safe funnel to land in,
so I planted petunias,
just for you.
They are glorious flowers,
the perfect hiding place for
a precious moth.
The nectar is sweet,
and you are safe from the view
of most predators.
So spread your wings
in the morning sunshine,
and fly away, follow your heart's quest.
I will keep the Tricky Gramma's
away from your eggs,
for you are far too special
to be allowed to disappear.
You are, after all,
an endangered species.

JM, dearest passionate Moth Queen

Kacy, one thing I learned about our Moth Queen...you keep throwing poems at here, and eventually the cocoon cracks and she shows us how it's REALLY done...in her own, inimitable fashion!

Keep throwing!  I'm enjoying it all!
