He traveled his life untouched
By lover friend or foe
he could not raise the passion
to kiss hold or come  to blows

He lost a thousands dreams
to Succubus empty embrace
but never was he loveing or loved
by a simple pretty face

He walked lifes roads a stranger
He walked as a son of none
He never talked with Angel
Or spent a night with one

A million unspent fantasies
lost in mornings light
a lifetimes love wasted
on this ones stormy nights

They say his story is a sad one
But this i say in truth
if you'd have known him
you'd have loved him

and here his love we share

The very deep did rot: O Christ!
That ever this should be!
Yea, slimy things did crawl with legs
Upon the slimy sea.

I enjoyed this Walter, and wished it was posted in Spiritual as well (would be good in these instances for cross-posting).  Great thoughts on a great personal friend to a lot of us.
