Rainbow Without Cliché

I want to say rainbow without cliché
past color even
but I can’t get past the place
where it patterns perception with hope

It is grainy there in my eye
as if taken with a camera of dirty lens
gritty with the grime from fingernails clawing
fragmenting the purity
with perception

is it right to turn such natural wonder
into art
or give it qualities that are treasure filled?

What if that curve of color was as judgmental
as I
and took my gaze
all soft and out of focus with the romance of it
and pushed me from the balcony onto the canopy
with all the diners looking up at my splayed imperfection

what a thought      I know
but sometimes my mind just goes
then drops me sort of like that
and I wonder about all the preconceived sensibilities
that get in line with the steady marching of time

and just want to feel the wonder.

Martie, sometimes just sitting back and feeling the wonder of it all is so refreshing and rewarding.  What a beautiful picture and post!

Leave it to you to say what I cant...
this is exactly where I am at...
I want to write all I saw and felt on my first time at the ocean..but I want the words to truly say how awesome and beautiful it all was...But I HONESTLY dont think something as God-Given Amazing as the ocean is can be captured with mere moth words.

*sigh*  tis not easy being a moth
YOU always write the right words

Unknown to us, there are moments when crevices open for time to come alive with begining.

You splayed on a canopy - Now THAT I would buy tickets to see - lol.  You are such a card, Martie.  I'm so glad I've come to find you and enjoy your wit and words.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, I just love this, sweet friend, I too wish we could see things in the preconceivable realm, then nothing would ever seem like a cliche and it would be like finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow only realizing it is moe than just gold! (kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Oh Martie... this is ART! Every single line...but especially these....

as I
and took my gaze
all soft and out of focus with the romance of it
and pushed me from the balcony onto the canopy
with all the diners looking up at my splayed imperfection

Excellent, fantastic just perfect

yes, i believe perversed a beautiful scene from nature to share with us, and even more importantly it has inspired this beautiful poem, continue to have fresh ink on your pen and a roll of film in your camera.

Martie, your mind is a rainbow of it's own. It's beauty, color and construction are promises of beauty in themselves. This is beautiful...

~And I just love how your mind just goes and then how you share it here,...so good to read and see.

Love this. *Peace Martie.

(every rainbow is your own, as we each see it through different water droplets, so someone standing next to you would see a different rainbow, their own rainbow).

fascinating perspective
intriguing inspiration to think outside the box
perhaps seeking the part of the spectrum that is infrared
undiscernible by the naked human eye
and only found in scientific measurement
of reactions by that which is displaced or hidden by its presence

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
