If I could,
I would take more English classes,
I would laugh more
Care less
Sing more
Chill.

Email,
Call old friends,
Tell them I miss them
Talk more to people I care about.
Laugh till tears come out of my eyes.

Initiate more conversations
Be the one to engage,
Rather than the engaged one.

Be less hypocritical,
Be more open,
Be less judgmental
Make less assumptions.

Join the chorale.

Play tennis,
Play for the sake of playing,
Not worrying about embarrassment.
But playing because I want to play.

I am glad,
Grateful,
I took intro to art,
Though I can’t draw.
Glad I took philosophy
Though he hated my British style of writing,
And I hated him, and the class.
It wasn’t so much the philosophy and art learnt that I am grateful for,
But rather the persistence, and the determination
I discovered in myself.

Zazaza.
I wish I could feel that more.
That energy in me,
the drive,
the excitement;
the inside smile
that I show on my outside.

I really like this poem.  It gives me a sense of onrushing, but it doesn't make me feel sad...more exuberant.  I like the plain language, also.  The way it is simple but evokes images.

Starshine - Thank goodness I found you before THEM!  You know, those two rascals Toerag and Balladeer.  Thank goodness, indeed!  Now I can warn you before they get their claws into you and turn you to the dark side.  You must never trust those two scalawags, as they will both try to endear themselves to you with their oh-so-smooth poems and their wily ways.  Just look at what they have done to me!  Once, (I can't remember when it was) I was an innocent babe here in these forums.  Now I am a ruined man [insert sobs here].  Always remember I am on your side, and you can trust only me with you darkest fantasies.  I will not blab them to all my friends as soon as you confide in me (as I find a few minutes pause is always a good idea).

Anywayyyyy, welcome to the Forums.  There are an incredible number of very nice, talented people in here.  We all look forward to more of your wonderful writing.
