The wind begins, a mighty breath,
the kite scoffs, it's off, a torpedo
aiming for the sky/high
zipping/whipping circles
a spinning top
to a
     kamikaze d
              i
              v
              e
regaining frantic focus
to spiral
upward/upward
higherhigherhigher
shakes its tail
with a stutter/flutter
slides/glides
into a figure 8
over and over again
now straight
curve up/flip down
around and around,
now level into cruise control,
smooth maneuvers
break the pace, until

a second wind
begins the challenge again
and slips beneath his belly,
s w o o s h
rises like a geyser
tossing/dipping/flipping
funneling down,
swirling/twirling
                hits the ground
sweeps a mound of leaves,
again
an ascension, one more time
one more time
bouncing/jumping/bumping
against the blades of grass
alas, no more oomph, at last
the wild wind finally settled down.

(smiles) Oh Caterina, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love the sweeping effects of this and imagined all the leaves coloring the wind! (big hugggssssss) This is breathtaking, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Caterina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Caterina, this is really fun to read.
I could picture the entire event.
You did so well, painting a picture with words.

Warmly,
Pat

Very well written.
I especially like the way you arrange the lines so theat the swiftness and changes of kite direction are conveyed to the reader.

Enjoyed!
Thanks for sharing!

Caterina, while I was reading this, I found myself tilting my head to the side. I guess I was seeing the kite in my mind's eye as you were so vividly describing it. I love kites. Thanks for sharing.

Love To All,
Ethel

Noah, thankyou--  your a sweetheart!

Pat, so glad you liked.  I was in a goofing around mood today and I do like kites also.

Hey Rad, I am always glad to see ya.  I am pleased that you like my crazy up and down poem.  I think I have an obsession with the wind...  it seems to pop up in everything I write these days.

Ethel--  you made me laugh...  perhaps it's a good poem to read when you want to loosen up those neck muscles? Glad you liked and thankyou.
