Purest Breath

I have died
a thousand deaths
to finally breathe
the purest breath
once stood grounded
in disappointments line
gently cradling feathered
dreams that were mine
hope once forgotten
now finds a rooted seed
producing the substance
on which a soul can feed
uncovered secrets sweet
found in me deep within
this has taken my life
and sets it free to fly again

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

Excellent poem.
When we are free to fly life seems to be so much more easy to deal with. Yet the challenges we face in life are relevent to reaching our flight patterns. Thanks for sharing your talent here with us.

"gently cradling feathered dreams"

I love this line, it is all so very fragile.
Enjoyed!
