Magenta hues once
submerged midnite blues,
as fireflies sparkled
in starlight's dust.
Ebony surrounded us
while crickets echoed
our heartbeat dreams
in surround sound
upon the still night air.

But you were never really here
except in my dreams,
to share your cascading rhythms,
your passionate Ziljian pearls,
Love's heartbeat.
Our splendid harmony
has become cacophony,
and I am once again submerged,
in midnite blues.

And can't be saved by daylight savings or a move from the long nights of Alaska.....I feel the want of this.

I feel this in the pit of my stomach.

Richard, thank you for taking time to read, and reply, but mostly, understand.

EA, If you felt this way when you read this, then you understood the emotions and the feelings. Thank you.

Noah, I am OK, and since friendship is the basis of all good long term relationships, I am happy to say my friendship is intact. There really is no conflict, but the poetry of Love sometimes exaggerates the reality. Does that make sense?

Kacy I love the imagery in this...
its touch of haunting and bluesy feel makes it even more impressive...
You write the night and do your pen name justice
very cool write Poetess Midnite

JM! thanks for reading, and for your generous reply.

Moths are so tasty.
(there is a poem in this, I'm working on it now)
