As bobble-headed figurines
hawk products on our T.V. screens,
(I'm not quite sure what this all means)
Hob-goblins in the darkness stir.

The Dow is losing big time points,
the speed with which they self anoint
with greed, is stinking up the joint,
(Hob-goblins watch with bale-ful eyes).

Destruction's on the daily news,
they ham it up with slanted views,
the muck of prime time slime and ooze,
(Hob-goblins thrive upon it's stench!")

These creatures rank, and bitter... vile
have been among us all the while,
but lately, they've come in to style,
( Hob-goblins seem to be revered!)

On late night talk shows the've appeared,
the truth is as I've always feared,
for we are them, and that's what's wierd,
'bout Bobble headed figurines!

Doc

P.S., BOO!

Mirthful, and nicely crafted.

Dr.Moose1 encourages Constructive Critiques: "Am I re-treading old tires ? Do I merely echo what has been said before ? Is there any reason to continue writing except for my own enjoyment ? First two don't matter , I'll see you around ! Doc"

If you aren't writing for your own enjoyment you shouldn't write, you'd be too sensative otherwise.  Keep writing and enjoy. G

I've got two of them on my dash! A Balladeer and a LongJohn bobble head. Just before I go over a speed bump I ask them both: "Isn't Toerag the best poet you've ever known"...and they shake their head up and down respectfully everytime!!!!

You touched on a few current issues and I understand how you feel.

Personally, I'd rather be a
~weeble that wobbles~ tho.

I like the poem and think you did a good job.

Obviously, your head is on straight.

PS:

I went twenty years without writing much...from personal experience, it is better to keep writing, no matter what.

With Warm Regards,
Pat

(big hugggssssss) Oh William, I understand what you say here and it is so saddening to know that they are just there and their heads just aren't screwed on so they can't listen or see so they are just blind or mute to how together we can all fix what we have wrecked! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! Youn have such a beautiful heart, sweet William, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
