Dream To Be

Do you ever wish you were someone else somewhere else?
Do you dream that someday soon you will find “the one” to be with forever?
What if this dream to be was right in front of you?

The success, the happiness, the love is all right there, but just out of reach.
All of the sudden the dream fades away.
You now cry in the darkness with no dream to be.

When you imagine your life the way you want it to be you can no longer see it.
You only see what you already are.
The people that are around you don’t know about the dream or that they are in it.

Inside I am dieing I wish they knew what was killing me was this dream to be.

It does seem sometimes that wanting a dream so badly can hurt. I understand that thought all to well.

Welcome to the poetry forums. Many readers will relate to your feelings about 'being' dreams. Sometimes dreams and hopes come true, sometimes not. More often, they change with time and we don't even realize the dream changed until we discover the 'old' dreams and hopes have either been fulfilled or forgotten or replaced.
It's always fun to welcome another dreamer in here.
