It was in late September
When LongJohn was conceived
It was a chilly evening
In 1943.

"Twins" the doctor said,
And then just nine months later
His mother's water broke,
She was finally in labor.

Sever long hours later
The twins were finally born
His mother was ecstatic
Tired, sore and worn.

The twins were not identical,
A baby and fecies,
The baby died, LongJohn survived,
The epitome of his species!

Read it again, sailor... your bifocals must be slipping. LOL Toe is very much alive... and right on target! LOL

But you two certainly could be brothers... Toe being the handsome, debonair, kind and compassionate one, of course. *G* Though whoever had to raise you would be quietly whispering to aliens in the asylum... or cackling with laughter remembering your antics! LOL

Mr. Toe, I sure am glad that you didn't mention borrowing LongJohn's boat....somebody might have wanted to use "Ethel"  in it, too....or is it a sail boat?? Do Sail boats have a motor, LongJohn??HeeHee!!!

Thanks for your story of his birth.

Love And  Laughter  To   All,
Ethel
