Pretending-
he couldn’t
feel the rain;

Walking-
in the darkness;
a pile of diamonds
scattered
like snowflakes
among the sky.

The moon
powered over him,
as he kicked
the muddy puddles,
like a grave with no name.

A wisp of wind
thrusts
his sagging clothes,
like chocolate
left in the sun.

His memories-
fly about from before,
Listening - to his loneliness.
Freedom comes-
like flying crimson
in the wind.

Suddenly-
his broken laugh
cracks the quiet
of the night.

His shouts-
disappear into the air.
No longer feeling
small inside
his fragmented dreams.
Only-
the rain on his skin.

WOW!!! Oh my gosh, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I love this! And may the rainbow come out and may all those raindrops wash away and join the rivers in a confluence of great spirits and deepness of ecstasy! (sigh) This is wonderful, I love it, we all love you so much! (sends hugs from one Colorado poet to another) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Juliette, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Beautiful name you have and what a knock out poem. Extremely impressive and I hope we will see more of your works.

Now how's that for pressure??!!

Juliette, you are just so talented. How long have you been writing poetry? It has to have been for a while. It's just amazing how your words flow.
Thanks for sharing.

Love to All,
Ethel

Thank you Ethel, Echantress, Marti, Noah! I am in such good company of talent here with you guys so your kind words mean so much.

I have been writing for about four years but have loved poetry all my life even as a child I would write and read it often. It gives me so much pleasure and even more now that I can share that passion (reading & writing) with PIP members.

Bless you all,
Juliette
