Way too sing-songy, but, I think it at least says what the weather's doing today.

Before it Seeps

gustery, blustery,
then seconds of calm;
rain on the wind
an autumn balm.

the dry, parched earth,
in shock, rock hard,
in nonsense stands
to hold its guard.

confused, it lies,
as puddles burst
through the crust
to quench its thirst.

in heavenly joy,
it heaves a sigh,
thankful to God
for sweet cloud’s cry.,

to drink it in
as deep can be
before it seeps
down to the sea.

Thanks for all of your encouraging comments! I am still working many days, praise God and Hallelujah! Right now I can barely stay awake so I think I'd better do my last minute things and hit the sack. I have just a half-day tomorrow so maybe I can get here more to comment.
