Post Last October’s Sunday

the dawning starts earlier,
just as the waiting sun;
we turn to face its glimmer
because the night is done

a solitary glow
spreads the firmament
the silhouettes at hand
sweeten up like condiment

the fern, an orangy tan
sprawls as orangutan
against the green and gold
of grasses neath caterpillars hang

and scattered about lanai
in piles and single file
are autumn’s dusted leaves
arranged as random tile

lives lived and spent, at rest,
await the crumbling of time
October’s nearly o’er
with its topsy-turvy clime

cold snap, one day, frost’s kiss
warm air sweet textures next
and I await the mist
that compliments fall’s text

I'm sure there's a better title, but that's all I have for now.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I like the  view and that second line especially..
I can hear the crunching of the leaves...

(smiles) No matter what the title is, this is a gorgeous seasonal gem and a keeper! (kiss on cheek) Such imagery is vivid here, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
