Hear the whisper
From behind your passing pace
Turn to confront her
But there’s no one there to face.

Why do I hear your voice on the night winds,
Do you in death stay near enough to haunt,
Soft spoke that into the background it blends,
To remind me of your beauty you taunt.
Are you calling me from depth of shadow
Glimpse reflection in a darkened window.

Hear the whisper
From behind your passing pace
Turn to confront her
But there’s no one there to face.

Speak louder or speak to me not at all,
Let me understand the whispers of wind
Enabled to answer your siren’s call,
Least the whispers reach from sanity’s end.
When I hear your soft voice my heart does race
And I search frantic for your hiding place.

Hear the whisper
From behind your passing pace
Turn to confront her
But there’s no one there to face.

Am I seeing you in a waking dream,
Is this but semblance of reality,
Waiting to be broke by the Sun’s first beam
Rolling back this realistic fantasy.
Will I waken in pools of sweat in bed
From dream walking the shadow realms of dead.

Execellent

"Hear the whisper

The very deep did rot: O Christ!
That ever this should be!
Yea, slimy things did crawl with legs
Upon the slimy sea.
