Rain

The rain sweeps down upon my face
And covers it with bleeds of lace
It runs right down my chin and nose
And drops upon my barefoot toes.

The rain is warm the clouds are gray
The gentle breeze a steady stay.
The dark impairs horizons view
But when it’s gone all will be new.

The sun will come to light my day
And flowers open up and stay
And butterflies will fly once more
And drink the nectar of the core.

And I will walk the valley’s green
To play among the unforeseen
And say a little prayer of grace
This rain that bleeds upon my face

Come walk with me the rain is good
It is the food of hardihood.

I would walk with you barefoot in the rain ...
I'd walk with you till me toes went insane.
I'd walk with you in hail, sleet and snow ...
where ever you go ... this moth would be in tow.
I'd walk with you thru "Hell's hath no fury" fire ...
the place where Randy gets his desire's inspire.
I'd walk with you till the end of time ...
walk with you till we ran out of rhyme.

And when we walk all the way to infinities end ...
we'll walk backwards to the begin and then do it all again.

JM,

You do say the nices things
And we would fly a Randy's spring
From eternity and back
Both upon our Randy's back.

Good morning Sy ... hmmmm....Florida rain sure is different than Boston rain. It rained so hard here on Saturday that it was raining sideways. And there was nothing warm or poetic about it!

I think I'll be down to walk in your rain ...

This was very enjoyable, thank you.

Hugs, Marti

Marti,
I know about the rain up north. You have to catch it in the summer. LOL Thank you for the read and double boost.

playful and refreshing...a lovely shower

in spite of the hint of pain in the "bleeds of lace" line

I enjoyed the rain,
your poetic refrain

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Sunshine after the rain is just beautiful. Everything smells so fresh and is shining through remaining raindrops. Enjoyed. Chris

Hey, Mr. Seymour. Thanks for the poem this cloudy day. I'll be glad when the Florida sunshine comes back to stay for a while. I enjoyed reading about your "rain", though. Thanks.

After so many days of rain, it's hard to look out on more drizzle with favor... but your poem somehow makes me appreciate the rain... if not its intrusions into my car, my apartment, and my shoes. LOL Well done, Seymour! *S*

Seymour darling heart when you write the world stills to read the words of wonder I love this utterly utterly. Enjoy your trip darling man and when you feel the rain think of me since it is probably raining here, in England it seems to rain perpetually.

Let the rain wash away the stain
Of might have been’s regretful pain
And let the silent dew of hope
Fill the sense with ways to cope
Rinse away the taste of rue
Replace it with the whole of true
Pick up the chance to do it right
Hold it close and see it’s light
And when time brings you there
To that place of do or dare
Don’t hesitate to do the deed
Take your chance to appease the need
Accept the gift of time and fate
Don’t leave your soul at regret’s gate

As always Seymour another beauty I love it utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Sy, I guess you have never been in Vancouver over a winter right?  We have rain, rain and more rain.  It is told we don't die here - we just rust away gradually.  However, I loved your rain, and if it brought a brighter day I too might enjoy it, instead of 4 months of darkness and drizzle, but a small price to pay I guess for all the beauty here that surrounds me.  Loved this one even if it was about the darn rain.
