Love From a Distance

I wish I had a magic watch
so I could turn back time.
To the days when we were happy
and your eyes they looked at mine.

But the reality is not as good as the dreams I have inside
You stand away at a distance
My broken heart I hide.

I accept it now
I know its true
this is no childhood infatuation
I've matured with life
I'm all grown up
I need re-evaluation...

From you, the one I need the most
the one I hold so dear.

So dont look at me with blinded eyes
my pleads you need to hear.

My love for you I know its true
I feel it in my bones.
The childishness of youthful years
I hope I have atoned...

With years of waiting for your love
To stand so far away.
Here are my cards their shown to you
Your eyes,
dont turn away.

These words are not simply things
that I have said before.
I need you in my life again.
Of this I must implore.

I long for you and only you
there's no room for substitution
My love for you I know its true
That's my final absolution.

I hope the answer you receive is affirmative - nicely done.
