Some Say
An Ode To ‘Deer

Some say the stars don’t shine so bright
They cannot see their stunning light
Some others won’t look in their soul
They are shallow and not quite whole
But within the world there are a few
Who realise that beauty grows anew
They see the words that you let fall
Then follow when they hear you call

Some say that beauty can’t be truly real
They live in shadows and cannot feel
Then to take a chance is much too much
They hide their souls from friendships touch
But somewhere inside everyone
The chance lives for the hope of sun
In reading you they see that hope is true
Then admit to themselves what hope can do

Some say that dreams can’t be true
They fear the barriers they can’t break through
And lose their souls in the dark and drear
Keeping to the path out of pain and fear
But even when the sun seems too dim
There is hope that it will come within
In breathing in your words of loving grace
They find their way back to the human race

Some say the words they have been taught
But you show them what their hearts have sought

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
