You just get done vaccuming
But you have to put down
Some carpet fresh on the rugs
You notice one out of your four cats
Is not yet in the room
So you can get this deed
Out of the way

You go to pick up
This cat to put him
In the room
For just
A couple minutes

As you pick him up
He freaks out
And uses your wrist
And your face
As a scratching post

You scream at the cat
As the tears of pain
Comes to your eyes

Then you realize
That the cat didn't mean it
So you go pick him up
Yet again
And apologize as you walk to the room

On the way he tries
To do the same thing again
But this time
You know what to expect
And hold on to him tight
The little mulish one
Will not scratch you again

Cold hands means a warm heart

He wouldn't scratch you with me there.

Julie, this is so cute. My cat is really finicky (if that's a word). Anyway, he doesn't like my little dog very much, so I have to watch for his scratches, too. Thanks for sharing this cute poem. I enjoyed it.

Love to All,
Ethel

That cat is very blessed to have such a patient master as you. I might have hurled him across the room by mistake.

Enjoyed the read.
Thanks for sharing.

(sigh) Yes, love and patience is the way to go as a cat can feel comfortable and learn just from affection it was wrong! (big hugggssssss) This is well-said, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a ebautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
