It was in midnight’s dreary mist
all nicely wrapped
that Murder should come
to me softly as I napped.

I tried to wake.
I tried to scream.
But nothing could disturb,
this most disturbing dream.

This can not be.
This is not right!
I thought to myself
on this cool, eerie night.

I tried to tell them…
They laughed, never to believe,
that murder had just stood
knocking at my door last eve.

But not one Doubting Thomas
still remains among crowd.
For it is well known,
that dead voices are not loud.

This was hauntingly perfect.

Cold hands means a warm heart
