The Ditch Pitch

All along this old road there is a cardboard parade
But what should we make of this political charade?

They come in all sizes but vary little in shape
Brightly printed in colors, though not lately in grape

We see lily-white letters on a field of true blue
So we wonder, does this mean we should trust only you?

The largest among them is awash in yellow-gold
A statement of the volume of the money you hold?

Does a fading orange sign mean “so new and so arty”?
Could it possibly be it’s about that third party?

Over there is another in a really nice red
Should we suppose, do you think, it will get you ahead?

To the right’s a fresh new one with a background so bright
That we’ll have to admit would be visible at night

Coming up on our left there’s one all decked out in green
We think it quite clear what it should be taken to mean

While pondering these questions we could sing a road song
Or jot down silly poems as we are driving along

Good read. These one dimensional loss of trees are about all the substance one gets in these issue-less election campaigns. Seems to be the fashion of the one dimensional would be leaders to attack each other. A sort of studio wrestling we buy into. Given just two choices that's what you get.

So,  which one did you do....or was it
both....cause this could be a politickin'
song....

Certainly right on target with your thoughts
and perceptions...

Thanx Krawdad..

Krawdad, this was a good poem. It made me think about a lot of different political issues......but I think I'd just better not even go there...........................................................................HeeHee!!!! Probably get a whole lot of feedback on all the different views, don't you think??!!??
Thanks for sharing your observations.

Love to All,
Ethel
