~~~***~~~
I love pickles!
Dill and sweet and sour,
You're sure to find me munching one
At any given hour!
Some are made with garlic,
Some are made without,
They all are great to snack on,
Of that I have no doubt!
Straight from a barrel,
Or simply from a jar,
Pickles make a tasty treat
No matter where you are!
They're quite low in calories,
They haven't any fat,
So grab a BICK'S pickle
When you're hungry for a snack!
This brought to mind that Andy Griffith episode. LOL!
Bick's has my poem hanging in their offices.
It certainly would have been more lucrative if they had used it in their advertizing!
(giggles in delight) I don't know if you watch cartoons but I love watching this one called Johnny Bravo, which is about a  mischievious grown man with an Elvis-accent who always gets in trouble but wins with his super-ego and he always loves saying "I like pickles!" (giggles in delight) This is cute, sweet firend, I love them gherkins especially, mmm mmm mmm, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Johnny Bravo sounds like a very funny cartoon and since the main character sounds like Elvis, I'm sold!--I love a man with a southern accent!
P.S.  I love gherkins too!---especially with an egg salad sandwich!
Exactly what did you mean by "toeragged"?!
Your reply is far too sophisticated for this naive little angel to understand!  tehe
The title dragged me in and I was not disappointed. Although sweet gerkins are the only kind I'll eat, you certainly made them all seem tempting. Pickles are not something I'd grab for as a snack.
Now, if you'd like to talk chocolate ....
Mr. Toe, I love those fried dills. Have ya'll ever tried just plain ole fried cucumbers? You fix them like fried squash. VERY  GOOD.
Every time I eat one, I think of my beloved grandmother who passed away a few years ago. She loved them and served them EVERY day for lunch. No matter what the main menu was, there were the gherkins! Gawd I miss her! I feel so nostalgic when I'm in the presence of an almighty gherkin! tehe
Not that anyone cares but when pickling I throw all the cucumbers into the washing machine and fill with cold water and wash on gentle cycle - NO LIE!  Cute, very cute. Send it to Bicks - for a buck?
Mysteria ~
What an innovative and clever idea of putting the cucumbers in the dishwasher. That would really get them clean-- and with little effort! I've made my own sauerkraut and pickled eggs, but have never made pickles. If I ever do, I'll try out your idea.
Thanks for the tip.
