Of Reason and Season

It’s true that I am lost of hope
Insanity beyond my cope
Stupidity of lusts avail
The whale is dead this one-way sail.

It chills my mind to think of men
That will not heed a brother’s ken
That risk all life of earths abide
To make a dream where they reside.

But they reside within this sphere
Humanity will disappear
And do they really know for sure?
The certain truth of their allure

Than let them die and let them go
My blessings to their souls in tow
I would not block their heavens door
And wish them well forevermore.

Insanity is not a reason
It’s not even a season.

as the headlines hold us all hostage...we search for reasons where there will be none that make sense of all the loss....

You write with your usual humilty, class and grace what we are all feeling inside...

thank you for that Stinkylove....
we need the nonsense to make sense...so that we can heal.

(big hugggsssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, and there has been so much insanity in the headlines lately and I pray all our children will be safe and everyone across the world can begin to make with the seasons and find reasons of salvation! (sigh) Bravo, sweet friend, we all love you so much, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

How thought provoking this poem is. I simply believe insanity is an infinitesimal amount of the right mix of chemicals flitting through one's brain, creating a live boogeyman chasing us through the jungle of life.

So glad you create places we can fly, I am ever, always, now ready to be a butterfly. (big smile)

Thank you for making me think!

Warmly,
Pat

I think there is a bit of insanity in all of us ...or is that in each of us...

Cold and calculating, another example of avarice and an inevitable whittling (even further) of the freedoms the rest of us enjoy. While against the death penalty it wouldn't hurt my feelings if this guy didn't live through this extortion. The authorities will never acquiesce to his demands in a country full of guns, it would be our undoing. Appreciate the write.

Seymour - there are terrible things happening in the world right now....all we can do is pray. Well done. Chris

I could pick out my favorite lines... but then, I'd be repeating the poem. *S* For in the midst of insanity, you've spoken for many... That closing couplet is fantastic! *S*

Ah Sy, whoever thought we'd live in a world as crazy and insane as this. Just the insanity of the sniper in the Washington, DC area is enough to put us all over the edge.

Hugs to those who are sane! And just who might that be these days?

Seymour darling heart, some days you simply blew me away with the power of your words, if wisdom were food you’d feed the world.

You manage to spotlight the evils and even mange to present them in a readable and understandable way, that is what the world needs someone who unravels the knot of confusion

I love it utterly utterly utterly, and thank you for posting this it is as are all your writes something very special

Love and warm stuff

Well your writing always hits one chord or another with me, and this one hits a nerve.  As you know in my country guns are only allowed for hunting with a permit, although there are shootings, they are not an every day happening up here.  The day that this country does not outlaw guns, that is the day I move.  Great write Sy my friend.
