Sometimes in the still of night,
...beyond the din of day,
Faeries dance upon the lawn,
...and in the garden play,
A unicorn plays hide and seek,
...amongst the daffodils,
With a pair of porcupines,
...watch out for their quills,
All alone the tortoise sits,
...waiting for the hare,
From within his tortoise shell,
...knock, knock, are you there?
Up in a tree a hoot owl hoots,
...as a bat flies by,
Flying backward loop-de-loops,
...across a starlit sky,
Then from the east a kiss of pink,
...first hint of new day's dawn,
As sunlight dances with the dew,
...across an empty lawn.

Tim, I could almost see the little fairies, unicorns, and the
little critters you  mentioned, just dancing around on these
pages of blue. This was delightful. Thanks for sharing.

Tim

The deer like statues stood and watched
the dance was such delight
and as the sun swallowed the dark
there grace was part of light
