Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

I have the confidence now
That I had misplaced before.
That will be the difference.
Now I know what I am here for.

It may not be the easiest thing,
To change a view, begin again.
Butterflies need the chrysalis,
Only to grow, break free, learn from pain.

=================================

sounds like someone has been learning from their mistakes and moving forward--
an important lesson we all must learn..sometimes the hard way.(dont I know)
From one who makes many mistakes...
here's a smile
take care

Sherry,
Change and growth is never easy for any of us. Courage and peace to you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hiya, I was looking forward to an affirmation while reading  and believe it comes at the end.

And so I know I will not be,
On the outside of gates of their fear.
With trust and time, the key, I find.
They need me here, they want me here.

Thank you.

Change a new start, it is always scary.
i know the butterflies you feel. I got them too. but with courage age each otherand our families we will make it through.

You are a good poet as soon as you try to reach others with your words.
You are a great poet when those same words touch your heart first.

Ah Sherry...this is it, eh?
The scary big move...but all will be well!
You have one another and a bright future ahead.
Please stay in touch...you will be missed.
And pop in to the blue pages whenever you can.
It's time to fly...sweetbutterfly!

Thank you  all for reading and replying.  To give you a bit of background, missing and needed for reference to this poem, it has to do mostly with the job that I have now taken and the move that my family and I are making away from most of our friends in Windsor.  I have never been good (during my childhood and adolescence) at making friends due mostly to a lack of confidence in myself.  I don't have that as a stumbling block in my life now.

For the past 4.5 years I have been a part-time cashier at a grocery store.  During an opportunity to expand my employment perspectives as a temporary receptionist at my mother's place of employment, I was asked to stay on.  The task: cleaning up an old negelcted database, creating a new database (both different) and working on the website in house, saving the company a sizeable chunk of change.  My first office job... and not everyone has welcomed me with open arms.  Couple this with the fact that I have been missing my son and husband in Windsor while working and living with my mother in Toronto.."bright lights big city".

This is the "pain" I mentioned. I agree we all learn from our mistakes but there were none made here.  I have to however have patience and pull through while I wait for the rest of my co-workers to get used to the fact that I am not going anywhere.

I will miss my friends in Windsor and hopefully make a few new ones here . I am looking forward to actually moving at the end of this month into a new apartment and starting life again with my husband and son.

Just a quick note here to let you know that although you may be getting a raw reception presently (and we both know from whom), you should be aware that WHEN you pull off  getting the E-zine online, you are going to be a heroine around here - I will make sure of it!!!  I will be getting quite vocal if they don't find you the equipment you need to do the job, though.

In the meantime, just hope you stay healthy and your move goes smoothly.
