Lest anyone else
also find her
not good enough
she tied her tongue
to muted mind
hushing her fingers
telegraphic tap.

Silence
presented her bold
unafraid.

But he felt her fear
and carefully
touched
upon need.

With fingertips softly
reaching

he read everything
she did
not write

then regardless of
restrictions and
what was not said

loved her anyway.

The fullest measure of love is when we are loved in spite of ourselves.

Thank you.

nicely done JB.... it is always interesting that sometimes our own faults seem much larger than they are to the ones that care about us...

enjoyed a great deal, and again, good to see you back on the pages...

Beauty comes in many forms and fortunate are they who have those who reach out to touch their beauty within.

A sensitive and compassionate poem.

A tribute to the depth of the best kind of love.  Wonderfully done...the last stanza bringing it to the perfect ending.

This is simply beautiful, dear friend... as is a love who'll see all the things we'd rather him not... and will love us anyway. *S* Fantastic write! *S*
